🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a delicate psychological drama, relying on a minimalist visual aesthetic and restrained performances. It explores themes of alienation, parental helplessness, and the search for redemption through the metaphor of a chess game.

What lingers after viewing is a profound sense of quiet melancholy and the fragile connections formed in life's margins. The narrative's power lies in its silences and unresolved tensions. — MovieFinder Editorial
