Acclaimed ventriloquist Nina Conti embarks on a peculiar pilgrimage. Following the death of her mentor and former lover, the eccentric genius Ken Campbell, she takes his troupe of bereaved puppets to 'Venthaven,' the final resting place for puppets of dead performers. On the road, through conversations with these latex and wooden companions, Nina deconstructs not only her craft but also the complex, humor-filled, and painful relationship with Ken. The journey morphs into an unconventional therapy session, where the puppets ask uncomfortable questions, and their keeper searches for answers about love, loss, and her own fractured self.

The film expertly treads the line between documentary confession and surreal comedy, using ventriloquism as a profound tool for psychological dissection. Conti demystifies her craft, laying bare a painfully honest dialogue with her own ghosts.
What lingers after the credits is the unsettling blur between puppet and puppeteer, a poignant meditation on grief and performance that is as hilarious as it is heartbreaking. A requiem that finds its voice in silence. — MovieFinder Editorial
