Pro Pool

Charles-Olivier, freshly minted with a degree in history and civilization, confronts the bleak landscape of the job market. His dreams of scholarly pursuits evaporate, replaced by the fluorescent glow of a pool supply store. His days are now a monotonous cycle of testing water pH in display tanks, advising on chlorine floaters, and attempting to maintain his intellectual pride amidst aisles of inflatable flamingos and diving masks. His coworkers are a cast of characters for whom the great philosophical debates revolve around saltwater systems versus traditional chlorine, turning his new gig into an absurd study of a subculture he never knew existed.
