A young woman with skin turned translucent, revealing raw muscle and sinew, shelters in the ruins of an abandoned hospital. Her existence is measured in pulses of agony and the dread of discovery. The damp corridors reek of antiseptic and decay. She collects fallen strands of her own hair, a futile attempt to retain some semblance of a human form, while indecipherable scrapes echo beyond the walls. Her sole companion is a phantom chorus from a crackling radio, whispering fragments of forgotten medical logs. Each dawn brings a fresh trial for her fragile flesh and fracturing mind.
