The Benign Indifference of the World

1997 · 80 min

The protagonist is unable to balance his words and body. Kounosuke repeatedly makes mistakes by talking about things he doesn't have to say. Kuramoto refuses to explain. The confusion of the characters is a universal problem of communication. However, the final scene, in which the protagonist becomes depressed and starts talking like a machine gun in a conversation that he does not engage in, gives the film a unique contemporary perspective.

The Benign Indifference of the World is an acquired taste at 0.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

A classic from 1997. They don't make them like this anymore — which is exactly why you should watch it. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
