Pei, a young woman with psychic abilities, moves into the notorious Jin Xin Building. Her path crosses with Shao, a horror novelist deliberately seeking inspiration within the building's ominous walls. Forming an unlikely alliance, they delve into a series of unexplained and terrifying phenomena plaguing the residents. Their investigation pulls them toward the building's original sin: a catastrophic 1984 fire that trapped and killed nineteen people on the fourth floor when the fire exits were sealed.
