Hello Carter
Carter, recently sacked and perpetually single, is stuck in a soul-crushing rut. His monotonous existence is jolted when he spots his beautiful ex-girlfriend through a library bookshelf. For one fleeting moment, life promises a sudden, glorious upturn. The reality, however, is starkly different: she is nine months pregnant and going into labour. This chance encounter catapults him into a chaotic, absurd, and profoundly human day where playing the role of an unprepared birth partner becomes an unexpected catalyst for examining his own stalled life and forgotten connections.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film is a modest, wryly observed character study that finds humor and pathos in life's messy interruptions. Director Anthony Farquhar crafts a story that feels both specific in its Britishness and universal in its themes of arrested development and accidental grace.
What lingers after the credits is a sense of gentle, earned optimism. It’s a reminder that redemption often arrives unannounced, wrapped in everyday chaos, and that simply showing up can be the bravest act. — MovieFinder Editorial
