Stand-up comedian Paul Mirabel is preparing for the most important performance of his career—a major gala show. Nothing goes according to plan: technical glitches, forgotten lines, and, most crucially, the unexpected arrival of his overly caring family, determined to support him in the most hands-on way possible. Chaos escalates as relatives try to help, only making matters worse. Between rehearsing punchlines and calming his anxious mother, Paul discovers the real comedy is unfolding not on stage, but behind the scenes.
