Jack, a former bodyguard with chronic insomnia, accidentally becomes the owner of a luxurious "California King" mattress, which contains evidence against a crime syndicate. Now he's being hunted by gangsters, the police, and an eccentric antique collector. In a desperate attempt to survive, Jack is forced to team up with his neighbor, a barista obsessed with true-crime podcasts, and a taxi driver-philosopher who is convinced the mattress is a portal to another dimension. Their mad dash through nighttime Los Angeles turns into an absurd race where each plot twist is more ridiculous than the last, and the only way out is a completely illogical move.
