We Are the Bus People
Adel Imam and his neighbor find themselves at a police station following a scuffle with a bus conductor. An ordinary domestic dispute spirals into a nightmare when they are mistakenly arrested alongside a group of suspected terrorists and hauled off to a maximum-security prison. Two simple men, far removed from politics, are forced to fight for their freedom and human dignity within a system that sees them as mere case numbers. Their absurd predicament unfolds as a bitter satire on bureaucratic machinery and the fragility of ordinary life when confronted by a faceless state.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film expertly walks the tightrope between dark comedy and social drama, using situational absurdity to expose the most painful mechanisms of power. Adel Imam's performance transforms his character from a comical everyman into a symbol of human resistance.
What lingers after the credits is a potent mix of bitterness and catharsis, a stark reminder of the value of basic freedom. The film remains a strikingly relevant cautionary tale about the individual's fragility within the system. — MovieFinder Editorial
