Ala Kachuu – Take and Run

A young woman in rural Kyrgyzstan nurtures dreams of university, her future mapped out by ambition. Those dreams shatter when she becomes the target of "ala kachuu," the ancient tradition of bride kidnapping. Forcibly taken to a stranger's home, she is pressured to accept a marriage she never chose. Her silent defiance meets the immense weight of family honor and social expectation.
