Headlines: Hybrid Films

2007 · 9 min

These films were made from The New York Times newspaper articles. The semi - automated animation process resulted in sentence recombinations that sometimes made sense while randomly emphasizing certain words and images. Each computer animation was transferred to one 100ft roll of 16mm Tri-X reversal film and then hand-processed. The reversal negative is the original.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Headlines: Hybrid Films is an acquired taste at 0.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

A 2007 film from an era before CGI overload, with real performances that still hit hard. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
