Ouagagay

2016 · 52 min

Documentary on the gay condition in black Africa where homosexuality is condemned both by religious rules and the penal code. Yet this practice is far from non-existent. People who choose a sexual orientation different from those accepted by law and customs are forced to live in hiding for fear of homophobia which is widespread but also of discrimination linked to traditional constraints.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Ouagagay is an acquired taste at 0.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

Released in 2016, this film holds up just as well today. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
