🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs its tension through parallel editing between the hostage's despair and his wife's desperate efforts, relying on the true story to amplify its sense of grim authenticity. It explores the stark contrast between an idyllic beginning and a descending nightmare to underscore the fragility of security.
What lingers after viewing is a heavy, yet gripping examination of a criminal enterprise and a test of human endurance, where persistence becomes the ultimate weapon. — MovieFinder Editorial
