劇中人物由菱，身為禮儀師， 深知死亡帶來的悲傷， 除了「不捨」，更多是「遺憾」。 由菱藉著己身特殊的感應能力， 傳達死者來不及說出口的話， 彌補了生者的遺憾，得到慰藉。 但由菱對自己母親卻因誤會， 早已不再往來， 直到由菱發生車禍， 一連串的後續影響揭開了當年的真相， 由菱這才知道自己錯怪了媽媽， 無奈這時的由菱， 已是一縷幽魂， 在行往另個世界的旅途中了…… 由菱沒想到，她看盡人生無常的悔憾， 最後同樣的事也發生在了自己身上。 人常說，生命短暫，所以值得珍惜； 而「當下」，瞬間即成「過往」， 因此更顯把握不易。 但願每個靈魂在跨越生死界線時， 都是一個美麗旅程的結束， 也是另一個美麗旅程的開始。
