Ono Yasuomi, a cram school tutor, struggles profoundly with human connection. His desire for marriage is thwarted by a fundamental confusion about what constitutes 'normal' romance, leading to a series of painfully awkward dates. In desperation, he enlists his student Kasumi, a young woman whose knowledge of love is vast yet purely theoretical, drawn from books and movies.
