🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The silent short film constructs a comedic scenario around the clash between jingoistic fervor and personal bonds, relying on the era's familiar sight gags and physical humor. Those who tire of heavy-handed themes will appreciate this lighthearted tale where love and cleverness triumph over bluster.
What lingers after the final frame is a gentle satire of militant attitudes, revealing how easily they can descend into pure farce. — MovieFinder Editorial
