Two aging intellectuals, Fryderyk and Witold, retreat to a countryside manor, where they devise a detached, almost surgical experiment: to orchestrate a passionate affair between two innocent young people. Under the guise of artistic creation, they manipulate emotions and scenarios, treating human attraction as raw material for their intellectual game. Yet, as they pull the strings of their living puppets, the boundary between observer and participant begins to dissolve. Their clinical project spirals into a vortex of jealousy, latent desire, and unsettling self-reflection, exposing the very vulnerabilities they sought to master from a distance.
