Raining in the Mountain

A retiring abbot of a remote Buddhist monastery summons two dignitaries to aid in selecting his successor. Unbeknownst to him, each guest has brought hired swords with a singular goal: to pilfer a priceless sacred parchment hidden within the temple's ancient halls. Under the guise of a spiritual succession, a covert battle of wits and wills erupts amidst the mist-shrouded peaks. The monks, guardians of peace, find their sanctuary transformed into an arena where devotion is tested against ruthless ambition, and a single artifact holds the power to corrupt or enlighten.
