Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey

Kevin Clash, a shy teenager from Baltimore, stitches puppets from scrap materials in his bedroom. His obsession with the Muppets consumes him—he studies movements, voices, mechanics until he stands at the threshold of Jim Henson’s workshop. The camera traces his metamorphosis from a dreaming outsider into the man who gave the world Elmo, that red-furred monster speaking in a falsetto about love. The journey winds through the backstages of Sesame Street, night shoots, personal sacrifices, and the magic that sparks when a hand fuses with a cloth body.
