Zeit der Wünsche

Hasan and Ayşe, a young Turkish couple, leave their village for Germany, hearts full of dreams for a prosperous future. Their hopes for a better life quickly dissolve in the cold, unfamiliar reality of their new home. Hasan finds grueling work at a factory, while Ayşe is confined to their cramped apartment, isolated and adrift. As the weight of displacement bears down, the traditional foundations of their marriage begin to fracture under loneliness, cultural dislocation, and unmet desires.
