🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a tense narrative around trauma and obligation, relying on the chess metaphor to drive its plot forward rather than merely decorate it. It explores the blurred line between justice and vengeance through a protagonist whose psychic gifts feel more like a curse.

What lingers after the final move is a chilling question about the fallibility of the systems meant to protect us. The climax delivers a satisfying, if unsettling, resolution to its carefully laid puzzle. — MovieFinder Editorial
