An Officer and a Gentleman

Zack Mayo, a rebellious young man with a troubled past, enters the grueling world of Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School to forge a new identity. His raw talent clashes with the relentless, brutal discipline of drill instructor Sergeant Emil Foley, who seems determined to break him. Amidst the punishing drills, Zack finds a fragile connection with Paula Pokrifki, a local factory worker longing for escape from her small-town life.
