🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a stark moral drama around the fragility of reform and the poison of envy. It relies on a simple, biblical framework of vow and fall from grace, exploring how community can enable destruction as easily as it can support virtue.

What lingers after viewing is a profound sense of tragic inevitability, a reminder of how easily hard-won progress can be undone by malice and weakness. — MovieFinder Editorial
