Jojo
Ten-year-old Johannes, nicknamed Jojo, navigates Nazi Germany alongside his single mother. A fanatical believer in the Third Reich's ideology, his world fractures when he discovers Elsa, a Jewish girl, secretly living within their walls. Forced to conceal her, Jojo's blind faith begins to unravel. His imaginary friend—a buffoonish caricature of Adolf Hitler—eggs on cruelty, while his burgeoning, real connection with Elsa slowly opens his eyes to a world of propaganda, compassion, and startling truth.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Taika Waititi's film is a daring, tonal tightrope walk, masterfully blending biting satire with genuine heartache. It refuses to let the audience settle, using absurdity to disarm before delivering moments of raw, emotional clarity about innocence corrupted and compassion rediscovered.
What lingers after the credits is the poignant contrast between the cartoonish horror of ideology and the quiet, powerful humanity that persists in its shadows. A bold and unforgettable exploration of blind faith and awakening. — MovieFinder Editorial

A surreal, pastel-colored nightmare of patriotic pageantry. The air crackles with absurdity and thinly veiled dread.
