Les Cerfs-volants

Normandy, 1944. Lino, a young French peasant, hides a wounded German soldier in his barn. Their forced coexistence, born of fear and suspicion, slowly transforms against the backdrop of war's thunder. Lino, accustomed to the silence of the fields, and the soldier, yearning for home, find common ground in tending to the injury and in the shared, meticulous craft of building kites—the very *cerfs-volants* that soar above the emptied meadows.
