Shades of Silk

1978 · 62 min Drama

Shades of Silk is a film of mood and memory; two Chinese women, who had been friends in school, are caught between a longing for social stability and something much more fulfilling but frightening and vague in their relationship. A large part of the action takes place in the Shanghai of 1935 although the film was shot entirely on location in Paris.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Shades of Silk is an acquired taste at 0.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

A classic from 1978. They don't make them like this anymore — which is exactly why you should watch it. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
