Rules of Lies
Roman, thirty-three and desperate to conquer his drug addiction, commits to an intensive group therapy program sequestered on a remote farm in the Šumava mountains. Twelve individuals, men and women of varying ages and backgrounds, voluntarily submit to a strict regimen overseen by three therapists. Each carries the weight of a harrowing past—overdoses, suicide attempts, and the lingering aggression of hard drug use that marks even the strongest among them. As past anguish, wrongs, and guilt resurface within the group's intimate confines, they breed fresh turmoil. In this thickening atmosphere of suspicion and lies, trust becomes the most fragile commodity of all.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
"Pravidla lži" is a raw, unflinching excavation of group therapy dynamics, where psychological thriller elements emerge organically from painful, everyday truths. The director offers no respite, compelling the viewer to question every word and gesture alongside the characters.
What lingers after the credits roll is the visceral experience of an ordeal, where the line between healing and further destruction proves perilously thin. The film prompts a deep reflection on the nature of trust and the cost of confronting one's demons. — MovieFinder Editorial
