Chicken Little

1943 · 8 min Animation Family
7.1 / 10 · TMDB

A peaceful poultry farm is thrown into chaos by the cunning Foxy Loxy, who arrives with a singular goal: a chicken dinner. Consulting a psychology book, he targets the most gullible mind first, convincing the dim-witted Chicken Little that the sky is falling. Panic spreads like wildfire through the coop as Chicken Little sounds the alarm. The head rooster, Cocky Locky, manages to prove the story false, but Foxy Loxy isn't finished. He slyly spreads rumors that Cocky Locky himself is not the sharp bird he claims to be. This final, clever manipulation seals the fate of the entire flock, delivering them straight into the fox's waiting jaws.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

This Disney wartime short is a masterclass in economical storytelling, packing a sharp satire on mass hysteria and propaganda into just eight minutes. The character animation is wonderfully exaggerated, making Chicken Little's panic and Foxy Loxy's sly grin instantly iconic.

What lingers after the final, darkly humorous frame is a timeless warning about the dangers of gullibility and the ease with which a community can be undone from within. A clever, cautionary fable. — MovieFinder Editorial
