The story of a close friendship between Louise Rivière, a seventeen-year-old girl in love with the absolute, and one of her high school friends, Victor, who is two-year-old younger. For five years, Victor and Louise never left each other. For five years, night and day, he followed her until that morning in October 1982 when, without giving an explanation, Louise threw herself out of a window of a building in the Bronx, New York.
