Guns at Batasi

Regimental Sergeant Major Mathias, an anachronistic martinet of the old school, finds himself trapped at the remote colonial African outpost of Batasi when the local garrison stages a coup. Cut off from command with a handful of loyal men and civilians, including a female Member of Parliament, he turns the barracks into a fortress. His unshakable faith in regulations and military duty collides with the chaos of a political uprising where the old rules no longer apply. Within the besieged blockhouse, a psychological battle for survival and authority unfolds, testing the principles and prejudices of all involved.
