A criminal gang conspire to rob the home of a wealthy banker and his two daughters. 🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs suspense through a simple yet effective premise of a threat invading a private, sheltered space. It relies on the contrast between the cozy boudoir and the danger concealed within a trunk, establishing an early blueprint for the home-invasion thriller.

What lingers after viewing is a chamber drama of rescue, where the pivotal action revolves around a telephone call and youthful quick-wittedness. It's a quiet victory of cunning over brute force. — MovieFinder Editorial
