🎬 MovieFinder's Take
This remake of the 1974 classic deftly transplants the timeless story of societal fracture into a modern setting, retaining every ounce of its melancholic power. The film moves with the deliberate pace of a detective piecing together clues, transforming a procedural into a meditation on the cost of ambition and the weight of history.
What lingers after the mystery is solved is the profound psychological drama, where music serves as both motive and metaphor for shattered lives. A haunting exploration of justice and sacrifice that resonates deeply — MovieFinder Editorial
