Toxic Love

A group of young heroin addicts drift through the peripheral zones of 1980s Rome. Their world contracts to a relentless cycle of scoring, fleeting highs, and desperate sickness. Train stations, derelict apartments, and dim corners form the bleak stage for their rituals. Communication narrows to the jargon of the fix, while the vibrant city pulses ignorantly beyond their haze. The camera observes without judgment, tracing the erosion of personality and time itself, as each day bleeds into the next in a numb procession toward an inevitable void.
