Yan Zilang, a conductor with a stellar international career, receives an urgent summons. His former mentor in Hong Kong has inherited a ragtag school choir of disaffected teenagers who have lost faith in music. Returning to his hometown, Zilang faces a task far greater than teaching scales: he must rekindle a spark within them, the same one that once ignited his own passion.
