The Secret Club

2003 · 55 min Documentary
1.0 / 10 · TMDB

In 1948, a secret club was established in Norway when homosexuality was a criminal offence. Although curtains were always drawn and new members were put through a screening process, this rare sanctuary provided a safe space for meeting and dancing at a time when being outed meant social ruin. With humour and a touch of sadness, some of the survivors of those days share their joyous stories of love, lust and politics.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The Secret Club is an acquired taste at 1.0/10. We recommend checking the trailer and synopsis before diving in.

Not every film is made for everyone. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer — you'll know right away if it's for you.

A 2003 film from an era before CGI overload, with real performances that still hit hard. Best for: genre fans and those open to something unconventional.
