🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs its peculiar world at the intersection of gothic melancholy and urban absurdity, using vampire mythology as a metaphor for existential fatigue and nostalgia. It relies on the intimate atmosphere of nocturnal Toronto, transforming a donut shop into an island of strange comfort.
What lingers after viewing is a quiet, almost meditative story about seeking connection in a world where everyone is a little lost, and skyscrapers neighbor cemeteries. The aftertaste is one of gentle sadness and warm irony. — MovieFinder Editorial
