🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs its comedy from the contrast between the aunt's doting blindness and the family's weary familiarity with the nephew's schemes. It relies on silent era pantomime and expressive performances to sell the familiar academic farce.
What lingers after the reel is a charming, slight period piece that captures a very particular kind of familial exasperation. — MovieFinder Editorial
