🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs a classic comedic plot around the clash between financial calculation and genuine affection, relying on well-defined social archetypes and clear character motivations. It explores hypocrisy and secret desires through a light, farcical tone, using irony and miscommunication to gradually reveal true intentions.
What lingers after the final reel is the charm of a straightforward moral tale, where virtue is rewarded and pretense is unmasked with gentle humor. The predictable resolution is delivered with a satisfying sense of poetic justice for all involved. — MovieFinder Editorial
