Hee Travels

The giggly monk Tang Sanzang sets off westward to retrieve sacred sutras, but his journey resembles a chaotic cabaret more than a spiritual pilgrimage. Instead of wise disciples, he’s saddled with three absurd companions: the mischievous monkey Sun Wukong, the gluttonous Zhu Bajie, and the silent Sha Seng. Their adventure unfolds as a series of ridiculous escapades where demons pose as temperamental beauties and epic battles give way to dance-offs. This classic Chinese tale is remixed into pure farce, where the greatest power lies not in magic, but in poorly timed jokes and comical misunderstandings.
