Skhizein
Henry, an ordinary clerk, is struck by a meteorite and discovers his physical body has shifted 91 centimeters from his perceived location. He is forced to exist in two parallel realities, adapting to a world where his actual body and consciousness are no longer aligned. Every step, every action demands complex calculations and constant correction. His apartment becomes a labyrinth of markings on walls and floors, while attempts to keep his job and human connections turn into a tortuous mental gymnastics. This displacement gradually begins to affect not just his spatial perception, but the very fabric of his reality.

🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Jeremy Clapin's French short is a virtuoso parable about mental fracture, packaged as a sci-fi absurdist drama. The rough sketch-style animation perfectly captures the fragility and fissures of the protagonist's inner world.
What lingers after viewing is not just a strange tale, but a profound immersion into the feeling of fundamental misalignment with existence. It leaves a near-physical sensation of aching solitude and admiration for how simply and brilliantly invisible pain can be portrayed. — MovieFinder Editorial
