The Mouth of the Wolf

Soldier Vitin Luna arrives in the remote Peruvian village of Chuspi, recently reclaimed by the army from Shining Path guerrillas. Trapped alongside other raw recruits, he faces an invisible, omnipresent enemy and the brutal authority of his own lieutenant. The officer, having declared all villagers terrorist collaborators, imposes a bloody order through paranoia and force. As the mountains close in, Vitin's tour of duty becomes a crucible, forcing an impossible choice between blind military obedience and the last whispers of his conscience in this godforsaken corner of the Andes.
