🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Director Christian Fevr constructs a tale on a striking contrast: a coarse, almost fairy-tale farce about physical deformity clashes with a subtle exploration of inner freedom and identity. The film builds its world, relying on the traditions of the picaresque novel and theatrical buffoonery.
What lingers after the viewing is an unexpectedly touching journey. Behind the eccentric antics and historical setting lies a persistent question about what makes a person whole. — MovieFinder Editorial

Watch in good spirits as a mischievous parable, perhaps with a glass of light wine.
