🎬 MovieFinder's Take

The film constructs a dual narrative, intertwining the frenzy of tulip speculation with clandestine political machinations. It relies on the contrast between a creator's luminous obsession and the shadowy passions of power, exploring how a grand ideal can become a pawn in others' games.

What lingers after viewing is the texture of an era where beauty and brutality coexist, and one's fate hinges on the price of a bulb. — MovieFinder Editorial
