Michele, a university student in Rome, drifts through the city searching for purpose and his own place in the world. His days are a series of absurd conversations with friends, awkward family encounters, and futile attempts to sort out his love life. He observes political rallies, listens to endless debates, and feels a growing disconnect from everything around him.
