🎬 MovieFinder's Take
The film constructs its dread from the contrast between mundane vulnerability and the intrusion of absurd violence, relying on an aesthetic of glamour and decay. It explores paranoia in a city that transforms into a maze, where every reflection holds a potential threat.
What lingers after viewing is a hybrid of crime thriller and gothic melodrama, where the pursuit of a killer intertwines with an examination of fragile human bonds. The result is a disquieting poetry seeped into Tokyo's night. — MovieFinder Editorial
