🎬 MovieFinder's Take
Fernando Solanas constructs the narrative as a poetic stream of consciousness, where reality and memory seamlessly bleed into one another. He relies on the potent metaphor of the 'South' — as direction, political ideal, and state of being — and explores tango not as mere soundtrack but as a vital character embodying longing and defiance.
What lingers after the final frame is the haunting weight of a generation's silent trauma, where a personal journey maps onto the scars of a nation. The film builds a city of ghosts and memories that feels both intimately personal and expansively historical. — MovieFinder Editorial
