A Question of Faith

Andrei, a successful Moscow architect, returns to his native Siberian village after his father's death. He intends to swiftly settle the inheritance and return to his metropolitan life, but is confronted by the deep-rooted traditions and faith of the locals, which he long ago rejected. The clash between modern rationalism and age-old foundations intensifies when Andrei must decide the fate of the village church—a symbol of everything he fled. His internal conflict mirrors the rift of an entire generation, torn between progress and roots, as the quiet, imposing landscape bears witness to a crisis of identity.
