The Three Veterans

Three former soldiers — clever Peter, strong Ivan, and cheerful Semyon — return home after long service to find poverty and mockery instead of a warm welcome. A chance discovery of magical artifacts — an invisibility hat, a self-filling sack, and a self-swinging cudgel — turns their world upside down.
