Enrique fulfills a long-deferred personal desire by bringing home a color television set. What begins as a simple pleasure swiftly mutates into an all-consuming fixation. The glowing screen becomes the sun around which his world orbits, drawing his gaze away from his job, his relationships, and the tangible world outside. The narratives flickering within the box start to bleed into his own, distorting his perception. Day by day, he recedes into the cathode glow, until the broadcasted fiction and the reality of his apartment become indistinguishable territories.
